Class Trip To Penang: Day 3 & Day 4
Hi! Yeah, I'm back to post on my day 3 and day 4 in Penang. I will be combining both days as we didn't do much on the last day of our trip but third day was the fullest one haha so this would be a little bit longer than normal. I miss those working days as rotting at home is so unproductive. I do feel like I'm wasting my youth doing nothing. I keep telling myself that it's time to study for IELTS as it will be held next week but I can't help procrastinating. Ish, my motivation to study has gone far far away since the day A2 has finished. Hahahaha it just an excuse. I will go back to study after I have done writing this post. Hehe.
Yeah, day 3 to Penang. In the blink of an eye, here comes the third day in Penang. Times flies the fastest as we were enjoying ourselves. I'm so reluctant to go back to kl on the next day. I wish I could stay here for a few more days. Not much, just a few more :( Today will be a free activity day. We can just relax or stroll on the street or even sleep in the room! Hahaha but we have more interesting plans for ourselves.
In the morning, we paid a visit to the popular upside down museum in Penang. Everything in the museum is anti-gravity. If you notice when you are queuing up before entering the museum, you will discover that you have been in a small upside down world the first step you stepped in. You are able to check the entrance fees online. You have an advantage to get a cheaper ticket if you are a student provided you show your student card upon purchasing at the counter. This is a different kind of museum from the museums I have visited in the past. They have variety of backgrounds with different themes for you to take picture and enjoy the fun of being inside an upside down world. Some are 180 degree rotated and some just 90 degree. Yeah the only thing we did in the museum is to take many many photos as we wish haha. Frankly speaking, not all the backgrounds have amazed me. Some are just ordinary. They have photographer too so you can just be the model of the day.
This is the first background that will enter your eyes once you stepped into the museum. We were in a dining hall. Those food on the table looks so real. We were struggling to get one xD.
Bedroom theme. Do they look scary to you hahaha? What's the first thing that came to your mind? Zombie hahaha!
Kitchen theme. Does this picture look cool? The highlight of this photo is the two at the middle haha. It's Amelia and Xin Jie. At first, the photographer asked me to do a yoga post at the place where I was but it was too hard for me due to the height of the fridge. Is it my fault or the fridge? Hahaha.
Tada! I can now use my hand to support my whole body when going down the staircase. Cool right? Hehe. *claps for myself*
You can't believe how small this world is. Do you know who we have met in Penang? It's our math lecturer! What a coincidence we have met each other despite how big Malaysia is and the most importantly, at the same time! Not only him we have met in Penang but many other our college mates also. Mr Lee decided to give us a treat at a local Chinese restaurant but his offer was too generous for us to receive. I guess the best present to him would be our A-level result. Hope I didn't let you down, sir.
Our 'breakfast' lecturer, Mr Lee. We glad to have you as our math lecturer :)
After lunch, we decided to try out the famous local dessert, cendol. We are really lucky as there was no queue upon we reached. Someone ( sorry, I forgot who has said this) said that there will always be a long queue on weekend or public holidays. Haha our decision to go on weekday was right. It is definitely a sweet treat you would never say no but it was too sweet for me. I think it's because of the excess gula melaka. But after all it tasted good.
Famous cendol in Penang.
Uncle swag hahaha.
Cendol. It was an enticing mouth-watering on a hot day like this.
Next, we will be heading to a shopping mall to buy a present for our beloved Mr Lee as our appreciation to his hard work. And we secretly planning some surprises for Wei Ling's early birthday celebration. Hehehe it was a successful one as this smart girl didn't notice any unusual going on till the last second haha! Yes, you lend us your pen to write on your birthday card! xD
I found the following pictures very funny. I can't help laughing at the first sight when these two pictures appear consecutively in the album. Hahahaha I know it might not seem to be hilarious to you. I usually laugh at things that seems to be normal to others hahaha. Did you know that in Malaysia, our hand is so powerful that we can even stop a car by giving a stop sign using only our bare hand? Hahaha did you usually do that when you intended to cross a road when there's no traffic light for pedestrian? But we don't use hand this time. Let's see how we cross the road *smirks*
Ready, set,
Go!
In the evening, we headed to Chew Jetty. Oh, the smell of ocean was coming in my way. Sea always smells good :) But the mosquitoes there is annoying :/ Remember to bring a mosquito repellent along. I was like a walking food supplier to them -.- Both my legs and hands are full of their bitten marks. Urgh.. It is actually a village by the sea where all the villagers having the surname, Chew. I feel like I was disturbing their daily life routine while I was visiting that place. Often do I saw villagers went in and out at the jetty but there was many visitors occupying the space. It just my own opinion. And the sea was polluted by some of irresponsible visitors. Sigh. No worries, the villagers there are friendly. There will always be a curve on their face :) Some of them doing business outside their house by selling souvenirs, some selling food and kids' favourite: ice stick.
The entrance of Chew Jetty located at the road side.
What a wonderful evening with the sea and the breeze. One of the reason why I like blue. It looks peaceful and harmony.

What you looking at? Haha two lovely cuties here.
As for dinner, we tried out their duck kuey chap. It's kind of noodles but it is made up of rice sheets served with internal organs, braised duck meat, braised hard-boiled egg and soup. This is definitely a must-try dish when you are in Penang. It's scrumptious and filled. You can opt for duck porridge if you dislike kuey chap. That will be another option for their customers. Honest speaking, I'm not a fan of internal organs. It is disgusting for me. But overall it was good. A small bowl of kuey chap costs RM7.50, middle RM8.00 and large RM10.00. There will be additional costs if you request some more ingredients.
This is how kuey chap looks like.
It was night time and the birthday girl returned! Hahaha she was frightened up at the first moment when no one open the door for her but soon she sensed something was going wrong. Smart girl haha.
Surprise!
1,2,3, huuuuu..
Let the balloons carry our dreams and flies as high as possible.
Ace, what are you doing? Haha xD
This was the last night in Penang. So we decided to stay up late cause we might be able to see each other so often as we did in college. Every second and every minute left seems to be very precious to us. But I was already feeling sleepy at the time of 12 haha. This was the night when you got many secrets revealed. Hmmm hahahaha. You know who you are :p
On the next morning, we packed and went out to have breakfast before we leave the town. There are many delicacies available in Penang and we tried our best to try as many as possible so we were up for laksa. Yes, laksa for breakfast haha.
Yeah, laksa! It tasted good.
Here we were at the bus station waiting for our turn to board at a scorching noon.
Ace was trying to cheer your day up hahahahha xD He was trying to tell you that 'life is a continual process of remaking ourselves' hahaha!
Our last group photo in Penang before we leave. Penang, you will be missed for the memories we made here.
It might be the last dinner where they are so many of us present together. Here we were back to our familiar place. It was indeed an emotional night for us as our tears rolled down our face uncontrollably. This is life. When there is a hi, there would be a bye too but I just didn't expect the day would come so fast. I wish there was no bye in this world. It will always be the saddest term to me :'( 1.5 years might seems long to you but it's short for me. There seems to be an invisible bond between us. We became close friend in a really short time that shocked me as well. All the best to all my fellow friends. I'm here to wish all of you a bright future ahead and don't afraid to reach high to your dreams though there might be blocks ahead but always believing in yourself! :) Our friendship will last long definitely. I guess I will still meet some of you in uni but not all. So sad. But what era we are in now. There should be no problem in keeping in touch haha.
Cheers!
I will use this photo to end my post today. All the smiles on face mark the end of the trip but not our friendship :)
Farewell my friends. It was indeed a memorable journey with your companies.
See you all at graduation ceremony!
