Ticket to Korea (SetiaWalk)
If you are craving for some korean food, then you may consider Ticket to Korea located at Setiawalk, Puchong. This restaurant is recommended by Mandy one year ago, and we were finally here! It is a restaurant run by two lovely couple from Korea. They are so friendly and always smile at their customers. They provide really good customer service also. All the staffs are friendly and helpful. The ambience is really comfortable. A suitable place for your family or friend's gathering.
I have been loving korean food since the first day I became a kdrama fan. The colour of korean food just looks extra tempting to me. It increases my ghrelin level (a hormone that makes you hungry) every time I watch those food videos from Cookat.
I need to make a special paragraph for their kimchi. I am a huge fan of kimchi. I love kimchi so much. And you can definitely get the freshest and tastiest kimchi in town at Ticket to Korea. So far it's the best kimchi I have ever had. The crunchiness of the vege will definitely satisfy your crave. For me, it's still in my tolerable range of spiciness. You may take a small bite first if you cannot tolerate spicy food.
We have ordered:
1. Ham & Sausage soup (L) (RM80.19)
This is just like the army stew you have heard of. It is a stew consists of ramyeon, teoppokki, kimchi, baked bean, ham and sausage as the name suggested. I love the soup as it is not too thick nor thin. Just perfect. It would be a perfect match if you have the ramyeon together with kimchi <3. So surprisingly, it's not solely ramyeon inside the stew as you have it at other korean restaurants, you could see macaroni in it too! I think this is what makes the restaurant so famous because each and every dishes are made with love.
2. Cheese Donkatsu (RM31.13)
I'm not sure what donkatsu means so I have googled it myself. It's pork-cutlet usually served with shredded cabbage. But the owner have modified this traditional dish into a modern one served along with cheese. The shredded cabbage is mixed together with cheese. As I'm not a huge fan of cheese so I just have the pork. It has a crispy skin and juicy meat and I love it. The meat just perfectly cooked. Not tough at all and it's very suitable for kids. It doesn't have the smell of pork which means they served with fresh pork. *thumbs up*
3. Big bowl salad pasta (RM35.85)
This is recommended by Mandy. After having all the meaty dishes, it's good to have a balance with some fresh vegetables. I love it since the first bite! This is not the mainstream pasta you have at other western restaurants. It's a combination of salad and pasta. I love the salad sauce! It mixed so well with everything. I have ran out of words to describe it. You must definitely try it on your own. It's a MUST to order! This is my favourite out of the 3 dishes we had yesterday.
4. Cotton candy soda (RM13.68)
For drink wise, we ordered this soda drink. This is also recommended by our lovely Mandy. It comes with mango or pineapple flavour. We chose the former one. We were definitely the happiest kid on earth while having this cotton candy. The owner even explained to us on the way to drink this glass of happiness. It still tasted good even after you mixed the cotton candy into the soda. The sweetness of this drink still in my acceptable range. Weeee.
All the prices are inclusive of GST. So sorry that some of the dishes didn't come with photo as my stomach was yelling for food :P Yesterday was my first best dining experience in 2018. Will definitely return to this place again! :)
Reservation is available if you go with huge crowd. The place was already full house at 7pm yesterday. So go there early if you don't want to wait for the long queue :)
